B. Distribution Account Manager
Summary / Purpose:
|
| This position is responsible for selling computer components, peripherals, and systems to VARs, Resellers, and System Integrators. We are looking for motivated individuals comfortable with making daily cold calls to prospect new customers and maintain daily sales activities. 1+ years of experience in distribution and channel sales preferred. |
|
| Essential Duties and Responsibilities: |
|
Generate leads of potential customers for AMAX products and solutions through cold calling, tradeshows, database leads, and other sources. |

Manage all aspects of existing Customer Accounts, working with various AMAX teams to achieve Customer requirements such as on time delivery of products and solutions. |

II. Engineering |
|
MANUFACTURING ENGINEER:
Summary / Purpose
|
| Plans utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel to maintain and improve efficiency of operations. |
|
| Essential Duties and Responsibilities |
|
Support workcell team in the timely production of quality product |
|
Develop new line configuration proposals and implement proposals. |
|
Review product designs for compliance with engineering principles (DFM), company standards, and contact requirements and related specifications |
|
Maintain capacity model with bottleneck operations identified. |
|
Assure accurate work instructions and visual aids are available. |
|
Assures production tooling, processing equipment and workstations are available and maintained. |
|
Coordinate layout and workstation move activities. |
|
Prepares time, equipment, & floor space estimates for proposed projects. |
|
Understand the implications of profit to cost development. |
|
Monitor and continuously improve the daily efficiency, productivity and quality of manufacturing processes for assigned areas. |
|
Explore new manufacturing technologies to support customer needs or drive cost reductions. |
|
Analyzes work force utilization, facility layout, and operational data such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment. |
|
Recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing work flow, relocating work stations and equipment, and purchase of equipment. |

Confers with management and engineering staff to implement plans and recommendations some cases. |

| Job Requirements |
|
Bachelor’s degree Engineering from four-year college or university |

5 to 7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to identify problems collect and analyze data establish facts and draw valid conclusions. |

Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. |

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts interest commissions proportions percentages area circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. |

Advanced PC skills including training and knowledge of Amax’s software packages. |

QUALITY ENGINEER:
Summary / Purpose
|
| Responsible to work continuous process improvements, investigate customer complaints, reduce warranty, scrap and DOA rates. Aid in the implementation and maintenance of ISO and other registrations. This position is responsible for the qualification / validation of new processes and to aid other engineering departments in performing detailed analysis on products or processes using quality sciences and statistical methods for the purpose of understanding and improving those products or processes. |
|
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Support housekeeping and safety. |

Facilitate and train employee teams in process improvement techniques. |
|
Lead teams in applying the six sigma DMAIC methodology to eliminate waste. |
|
Apply the following basic process improvement tools within the six sigma DMAIC improvement model: Project Charter, Process Map, Thought Process Map, Pareto Chart, Trend Chart, Fishbone Diagram, 5-Why Analysis, Histogram, SPC, FMEA, Benchmarking, Brainstorming, 5S, Correlation Analysis, Error-proofing, Cpk, Ppk, Corrective Action Matrix, and Continual Improvement Control Plans. |

Design and improve process inputs to gain desired outcome. |
|
Improve processes to reduce common cause variability and eliminate special cause. |
|
Establish control plans to prevent process backsliding for consolidation of gains. |
|
Analyze process constraints and develop standards to overcome constraints. |
|
Revise procedures for process improvement. |
|
Implement effective corrective and preventative actions utilizing structured planning methods. |
|
Coordinate and work cross-functionally with Employee Teams, Quality, and Engineering to improve processes. |

Accurately maintain company records and documents in accordance with policies and procedures. Individual must be able to analyze non-conforming conditions found from production and determine root cause analysis from these non-conforming conditions. |

| Job Requirements |
|
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university; and two to four years related experience in the quality profession OR 10 – 15 years experience in related QA field. |

Knowledgeable in ISO 9001 ISO 14001 certification requirements.

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form. |
